Iranian Forces State Strike on American Facility in the Kingdom of Bahrain, During Widespread Military Operations.
Iran's military claims to have hit a US naval base in Bahrain, as the country executed missile attacks across the region in retaliation for a significant and ongoing offensive targeting the nation by the United States and Israeli forces.
Large columns of dark smoke were observed billowing from an vicinity near the main base of the American Fifth Fleet in Bahrain's capital, Manama. The full scale of any destruction is uncertain and the US has yet to issue a statement.
Regional Interceptions
In other parts of the Middle East, the UAE, Qatar and the State of Kuwait - all home to American military installations - stated they have engaged and destroyed missiles in their air space.
In Doha, the Qatari Ministry of Defence said it had intercepted a number of projectiles apparently targeting the Al Udeid Air Base, the biggest US military installation in the region.
Operation "Truthful Promise 4"
Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said in a statement it was targeting American facilities and interests as part of operation "Truthful Promise 4", in retaliation for the attack on the Islamic Republic initiated by the US and Israel on Saturday morning.
That preceding assault - executed at around 06:15 GMT - has so far focused on areas linked to the Tehran's leadership, with President Trump encouraging the people of Iran to revolt against the leadership.

In Israel, air raid sirens sounded nationwide after the Israel Defense Forces stated it had detected an incoming Iranian missile barrage.
The defence ministry of the United Arab Emirates announced that the country has been targeted by a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".
"Emirati air defenses dealt with the missiles with high efficiency and successfully intercepted a series of missiles," the statement continued.
Officials reported missile fragments fell on a neighborhood in the capital, causing some property damage and fatalities.
The United States Air Force operates from Al Dhafra Air Base, to the south of the Emirati capital, along with the UAE Air Force.
