Ex- Arsenal Footballer Partey Pleads Not Guilty to Rape Allegations
The Ghanaian midfielder, formerly of the Premier League club, has entered a not culpable plea to five counts of rape and a single count of sexual assault at Southwark Crown Court.
He is accused of attacking a pair of women and sexually assaulting a third woman. The alleged offenses are said to have taken place between 2021 and 2022, while his time with the North London club.
During a court session on Wednesday, Partey confirmed his name, birthdate, and denied all charges.
His legal proceeding came after his participation as a replacement for the Spanish side in a European fixture against Tottenham on the previous evening.
Judge Christopher Hehir stated: “Your trial will take place at this court on November 2nd, 2026. Understand that is some time in advance. As you may appreciate the backlog of cases, trials are scheduled later.”
Release conditions was granted under the same terms as previously, which require avoiding communication with the alleged women and informing authorities of any travel changes. Partey continues to play for the Ghana team.
The athlete joined Arsenal in the year 2020 from Atlético Madrid in a transfer worth 45 million pounds. He subsequently transferred to Villarreal in August without a fee.
