It's a challenge for the Australian squad to set fresh records.

The highest peaks have been successfully scaled.

This is the squad that has claimed seven Cricket World Cups, plus an additional six T20 titles, and previously enjoyed over three years undefeated in 50-over cricket.

The secondary achievements, the ones sought by the achievement hunters, are the only things left for a squad that has won it all.

That it took until Sunday's three-wicket win over India for them to achieve their initial ODI chase above 300, regaining their record for the largest in the women's 50-over format, is, frankly, a compliment to the bowling attack that have represented Australia over the last half-century.

It's difficult for their hitters to possess a record if not provided the opportunity.

In the end, the result of Australia giving up 330 runs was captain Alyssa Healy receiving a platform to produce her latest masterpiece.

Then best known as the young family member of celebrated previous Aussie wicketkeeper Ian, she first played in 2010 after Australia failed to win either of the T20 or ODI World Cups conducted earlier and has witnessed all through 15 successful years since.

A T20 championship victory came three months after her bow and seven global championships have come from 10 attempts across formats.

A single came off Gaud's first delivery and after that the right-hander was in motion.

"The possibility to go out there and face the challenge with her and simply enjoy myself that way, kind of motivated me," commented Healy.

She reached fifty in 35 pitches - her fastest at the World Cup - and her ton in 84 deliveries while she punished short deliveries, hitting 21 fours and three big hits.

Once she was dismissed the team needed 66 additional runs at a run-a-ball - a manageable total now requiring a leisurely stroll.

"Chasing 330 runs is uncharted waters so I'm pleased we have the confidence to achieve that now," added Healy.

"Hopefully we don't have to repeat it but, if necessary, we know we can do it."

Those words will be the ultimate thing competing nations at this World Cup need to hear.

During the last week a sense they will succeed regardless of circumstances has grown stronger - this success following win against Pakistan by 107 runs despite sitting at 76-7 at one stage.
